Women Heads of State

In 1940, the first woman Head of State/Chairman of the Presidium of the Little Khural was Khertek Anchimaa Toka of Tuva. Through the years, women’s political participation became more apparent as more women are elected as heads of state.

Those belonging to the Asia-Pacific region are highlighted.
